Lekhny composition -08-Sep-2022 to my classmate

~ To a classmate with whom I have never spoken

It's you, even though I'm sure you're wondering who she or he is as you read this. Because I can't utter these words in front of you, I'm writing this letter.

On my first day of college, I came across you sitting behind me, laughing and talking loudly with your companions. I wanted to look behind you to see who that guy was, but I was too afraid. Finally, I was astonished to see you on the day I finally did. How could someone be that flawless, I wondered.

I never noticed you to be anxious, but that day I noticed a void in your eyes. Your unattractive smile conceals tears in your lovely eyes. On that day, I have a heavy heart and am carrying an unidentified form of grief, but I can feel the distress you are concealing . I was perplexed that the person who always seemed joyful and made everyone smile was now experiencing discomfort. I mustered up the strength to approach you and ask about your suffering, but you hurriedly left for class, so I refrained from speaking to you once again.

I'm hoping we can speak without delay very soon.

Your classmate
